Inventory Supervisor
Chanel seeks an Inventory Supervisor in Palo Alto to manage stock control, cycle counts and inventory accuracy for its boutique operations.

Role & Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day stockroom and inventory control operations for the Palo Alto boutique, ensuring merchandise is stored, handled and presented to brand standards.
- Plan and execute cycle counts, full physical inventories and ad-hoc reconciliations to sustain >99% stock accuracy.
- Supervise, coach and schedule stockroom personnel; allocate tasks and monitor performance against productivity and accuracy KPIs.
- Manage merchandise receiving, transfers and returns; validate incoming shipments and update inventory records promptly.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, liaising with store management, loss prevention and corporate logistics to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Maintain and improve inventory procedures and documentation to optimize flow, security and traceability of high-value items.
- Produce timely inventory and shrinkage reports for store leadership and regional operations; recommend process or assortment adjustments based on findings.
- Oversee use and maintenance of inventory hardware (RF scanners) and ensure accurate integration with POS and back-office systems.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience in retail stock control or warehouse operations, preferably within luxury fashion or specialty retail.
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail and an analytic approach to discrepancy resolution.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet analysis and inventory reporting.
- Demonstrable experience with cycle counts, receiving procedures and loss-prevention best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to train and motivate a small operations team.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends as required by store operations.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3+ years in retail inventory control or stock operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity; prior experience in luxury fashion retail is strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor's in supply chain, logistics, business or a related discipline preferred.
