Inventory Supervisor
Chanel is hiring an Inventory Supervisor in Boston, MA to manage stock accuracy, receiving and shrinkage control for its boutique.

Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inventory operations for the Boston boutique, including receiving, stock replenishment and stockroom organisation.
- Lead and coach inventory and sales support associates to ensure adherence to procedures, productivity targets and service standards.
- Own cycle counts, regular stock-take processes and reconciliation activities to maintain stock accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with distribution centres and regional logistics to ensure timely availability of merchandise.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, implement loss-prevention measures and prepare audit documentation for corporate reviews.
- Generate and analyse inventory reports, identify trends and propose corrective actions to optimise in-store stock levels.
- Maintain strict compliance with proprietary inventory systems and retail controls; ensure accurate system entries for receiving and transfers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; post-secondary coursework in business, retail management or supply chain preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in retail inventory, stock control or logistics; at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role, ideally within luxury or fashion retail.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams, coach frontline staff and enforce operational standards.
- Strong numerical literacy and proven experience performing cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
- Knowledge of loss-prevention best practices and a track record of reducing shrinkage.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in retail inventory or stock control with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity; prior experience in luxury fashion retail strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, retail management, supply chain or related field preferred.
