Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate stock records across the Selfridges boutique through daily reconciliations, cycle counts and exception reporting.
  • Receive, inspect and process incoming deliveries; ensure correct tagging, pricing and storage following Chanel merchandising standards.
  • Manage inter-store and warehouse transfers, replenishment and stock allocations to optimise product availability.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, lead shrinkage reduction initiatives and support loss-prevention procedures.
  • Produce regular inventory and KPI reports for store management and regional teams; identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Operate and administer stock systems and handheld scanners; ensure data integrity and adherence to stock-control policies.
  • Collaborate with store operations, visual merchandising and buying teams to support launches, promotions and stock flows.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable numeracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional liaison.
  • Ability to work retail hours including weekends and peak trading periods.

Experience

Preferably 2+ years in stock control or inventory management within luxury retail or premium department-store environments, with proven experience managing boutique-level flows and loss-prevention practices.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational qualification in retail, logistics or supply-chain management preferred but not required.
