Chanel Paris seeks a Stock Assistant to manage boutique inventory and back-of-house operations for its flagship store.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect and process incoming deliveries; verify contents against delivery manifests and purchase orders.
  • Organise and maintain the stockroom to luxury retail standards, ensuring merchandise is stored safely and presented for quick retrieval.
  • Replenish the sales floor in accordance with visual merchandising directives and stock rotation policies.
  • Prepare and label items for transfer, returns and internal movement; coordinate timely dispatches to other boutiques or ateliers when required.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts; report variances and assist with formal inventory reconciliations.
  • Perform quality-control checks and document damaged or non-conforming goods according to company procedures.
  • Support loss-prevention measures by maintaining accurate records and adhering to security protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with boutique sales teams and store management to prioritise replenishment and fulfil client requests.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational qualification in retail, logistics or merchandising is advantageous.
  • Legally authorised to work in the job location.
  • Basic numeracy and the ability to audit and reconcile stock records accurately.
  • Physical capacity to handle merchandise, including lifting and prolonged standing.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining luxury presentation standards.

Experience

Entry-level to 1–2 years' experience in retail stock, warehouse or back-of-house operations preferred; previous experience in luxury retail or fashion is highly desirable.
