Chanel is seeking an Indirect Procurement Manager in Toronto, Canada. This full-time role involves leading procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement standards.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect goods and services to align with organizational objectives and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead strategic sourcing projects and collaborate with internal business partners to optimize procurement processes.
  • Conduct financial analysis and negotiate acquisition costs to reduce Total Cost of Ownership.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction through data analysis, consolidation, and process improvements.
  • Assess supplier capabilities, manage vendor relationships, and ensure supplier performance meets established KPIs.
  • Mitigate risks associated with procurement activities and develop contingency plans for business continuity.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Oversee contract management for indirect goods and services, ensuring legal compliance and resolving issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to implement procurement policies and processes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and risks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of strategic indirect procurement experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience with procurement tools such as Coupa at an advanced level.
  • CIPS qualification or equivalent.

Skills

Expertise in procurement policy, procedures, and processes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a dynamic environment. Business acumen and sensitivity to external business and economic changes.

Experience

A minimum of 7 years of strategic indirect procurement experience, including advanced use of procurement tools and a proven track record in building effective relationships with stakeholders.

Education

CIPS qualification or equivalent.
