Chanel is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner in Vancouver to lead HR strategy and partner with local leadership.

Role & Responsibilities
- Act as strategic HR partner to local and regional leadership, aligning people strategy with business objectives and commercial priorities.
- Drive talent management initiatives including workforce planning, succession planning, performance management and leadership development.
- Provide expert advice and hands‑on support in employee relations, conflict resolution and progressive disciplinary processes, ensuring compliance with local employment legislation.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract, assess and onboard high‑calibre candidates for both retail and corporate roles.
- Lead change management efforts for organizational design, restructures and new ways of working, communicating effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Implement and monitor HR programs and policies in coordination with global HR teams, translating global frameworks into local practice.
- Analyse HR metrics and prepare actionable reporting to inform decision‑making on retention, engagement and workforce trends.
- Coach managers on people‑management best practices, performance calibration and development planning.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years progressive HR experience, ideally as an HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist.
- Demonstrable experience partnering with senior leaders and managing complex employee relations matters.
- Experience in retail, luxury goods, consumer products or a similarly fast‑paced, customer‑facing industry preferred.
- Professional HR designation (e.g., CHRP/CHRL) or equivalent credential preferred.
- Strong knowledge of British Columbia employment standards and relevant HR legislation.
Skills
Experience
At least five years of progressive human resources experience with a proven track record as an HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist. Prior exposure to retail or luxury environments and experience advising senior management on people strategy and employee relations are strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; a master’s degree or recognized HR designation is an asset.
