Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary HR strategic partner to leadership for Fashion and Watches & Fine Jewelry businesses in the Seoul market, aligning people strategies with commercial and brand objectives.
  • Drive workforce planning, organisational design and talent segmentation to ensure the right capability and capacity across retail, wholesale and product teams.
  • Lead end-to-end talent acquisition and onboarding for key local and expatriate roles, collaborating with regional and global talent teams.
  • Coach managers on performance management, succession planning, career development and high-potential programmes.
  • Advise on employee relations and local labour law compliance; manage sensitive cases with discretion and adherence to Chanel policies.
  • Partner with Compensation & Benefits and Total Rewards to implement competitive remuneration, grading and mobility decisions locally.
  • Design and deliver local learning interventions, leadership development and change-management initiatives tied to business priorities.
  • Contribute to HR projects and rollouts driven by regional/global programmes (HRIS, policy updates, diversity & inclusion efforts).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline; advanced degree or professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate as a trusted business partner in a matrixed, international organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of Korean labour legislation and local HR practices.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations and confidential matters with sound judgement.
  • Demonstrated capability in workforce planning, talent management and organisational design within retail, product or luxury sectors.

Experience

Typically 5+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner or senior generalist role; prior exposure to luxury, fashion, retail or watches & jewellery is strongly preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; postgraduate degree or recognised HR certification preferred.
