Chanel is hiring a Governance and Planning Project Manager in Hong Kong to lead regional project governance and planning across North Asia.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define, implement and maintain regional governance frameworks and project methodologies for North Asia to ensure consistent decision-making and delivery standards.
  • Lead cross-functional planning cycles and manage the regional project portfolio, prioritising initiatives in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate stakeholders across markets (including Hong Kong, Greater China, Korea and Japan), regional functions and global teams to drive timely execution and resolve escalations.
  • Establish KPIs, cadence of reporting and steering committees; prepare concise executive-level reports and dashboards for regional leadership.
  • Manage risks, dependencies and change control; ensure compliance with local regulations, corporate policies and internal audit requirements.
  • Oversee programme budgets, resource forecasts and vendor relationships to secure value and on-time delivery.
  • Drive process improvements and change-management activities to embed governance best practices and sustain adoption.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record leading governance and planning for multi-market programmes or transformation projects across Asia.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesise complex information into clear executive reporting and governance artefacts.
  • Experience with project portfolio management and performance measurement (KPIs, dashboards, steering committees).
  • Project management certification preferred (PMP, Prince2 or equivalent).
  • Fluency in business English; additional regional language skills (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean or Japanese) are advantageous.

Experience

Typically 5+ years of progressive project or programme management experience, including responsibility for governance and cross-border coordination in the luxury, retail, consumer goods or beauty sectors. Prior experience working with regional teams in North Asia is highly desirable.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering or a related discipline; Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
