Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exemplary, personalised client service and product advice across fragrance and beauty categories to cultivate repeat clientele.
- Achieve and exceed individual and concession sales targets through active selling, cross-sell and up-sell techniques.
- Maintain expert product knowledge of Chanel fragrance and beauty collections and communicate brand heritage with credibility.
- Execute visual merchandising and presentation standards on the John Lewis Nottingham concession to ensure a luxury environment.
- Manage transactions, returns and daily cash handling in accordance with store and brand procedures.
- Support inventory control activities including stock replenishment, housekeeping and loss-prevention measures.
- Build and maintain a client database through targeted clienteling, follow-ups and appointment management.
- Collaborate professionally with John Lewis colleagues while representing Chanel brand standards and promotional initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven customer-facing experience in beauty, cosmetics or luxury retail; experience within department store concessions is advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to deliver personalised consultations to diverse clientele.
- Flexible availability including weekends and evenings to meet retail scheduling needs.
- Professional presentation and adherence to luxury brand grooming standards.
- Right to work in the UK.
Skills
Experience
Typically 1–2 years of experience in beauty or luxury retail is expected, with preference for candidates who have worked within department store concessions or premium cosmetics counters.
Education
Secondary education (GCSE or equivalent) required; vocational qualifications in beauty, cosmetics or retail are advantageous.
