Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional, personalised client experience that reflects Chanel’s luxury standards and builds long-term client relationships.
  • Drive sales of fragrance, skincare and beauty products to meet and exceed KPI targets and store objectives.
  • Demonstrate authoritative product knowledge of fragrance compositions, skincare regimens and application techniques; provide bespoke recommendations.
  • Execute clienteling activities including follow-ups, appointment management and maintenance of client files to maximise repeat business and sell‑through.
  • Maintain visual merchandising and product displays to Chanel presentation guidelines and ensure stock integrity and replenishment.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems, process transactions accurately and ensure compliance with store security and cash handling procedures.
  • Support in-store events, launches and promotional activities, collaborating closely with the Harrods boutique team and Chanel field management.

Qualifications

  • Proven retail sales experience within luxury fragrance, cosmetics or skincare, ideally within prestige department store environments.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting sales targets and growing client portfolios.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage high‑net‑worth and diverse clientele.
  • Professional presentation, high standards of grooming and a service-oriented demeanour.
  • Right to work in the UK and flexibility to work retail hours including evenings, weekends and peak seasonal periods.

Experience

Typically requires 2+ years of sales experience in prestige beauty or fragrance retail, preferably within an upscale department store or boutique environment, with proven success in client acquisition and retention.

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certifications in beauty, cosmetics or retail sales are desirable but not mandatory.
