Fragrance & Beauty Sales Consultant
Chanel seeks a Fragrance & Beauty Sales Consultant in London (Selfridges Oxford Street) to deliver luxury client experiences and drive sales.

Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised, consultative client service and create memorable luxury experiences for fragrance and beauty clients at Selfridges Oxford Street.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through proactive clienteling, upselling and relationship development.
- Provide expert product knowledge across Chanel fragrance, skincare and colour ranges; advise on product usage, benefits and routines.
- Perform in-store consultations and makeup applications with impeccable hygiene and technique, adapting services to each client’s needs.
- Maintain visual merchandising, stock presentation and display standards in line with Chanel guidelines and Selfridges directives.
- Manage transactions, returns and basic administrative tasks using EPOS/POS systems; ensure accurate cash handling and daily reconciliations.
- Build and maintain CRM records, follow up client appointments and manage a personal client book to drive repeat business.
- Partner with store management and Chanel field teams on launches, events and promotional activities; attend mandatory training and product briefings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in luxury beauty or fragrance retail sales, preferably within a premium or prestige brand.
- Proven track record meeting sales KPIs and building repeat clientele through consultative selling and clienteling.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, client-facing demeanour.
- Flexibility to work retail hours including weekends, bank holidays and peak seasonal periods.
- Right to work in the UK and ability to travel to training events as required.
Skills
Experience
At least 2 years of direct experience in luxury beauty or fragrance retail, with demonstrable achievement against sales targets and a developed client book.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or beauty-specific qualifications (e.g., NVQ, diploma in make-up or cosmetology) preferred but not mandatory.
