Chanel Shanghai seeks a Fragrance and Beauty Counter Manager to lead the luxury beauty counter, drive sales and manage a boutique team in Shanghai.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the fragrance and beauty counter, ensuring brand standards for visual merchandising, stock presentation and client experience are upheld.
  • Drive sales performance and exceed KPIs through high-impact clienteling, targeted selling strategies and proactive management of VIP and walk-in clientele.
  • Recruit, coach and manage a high-performing counter team; deliver continuous training on product knowledge, service protocols and sales techniques.
  • Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment and shrinkage prevention in coordination with regional retail operations and logistics.
  • Implement brand product launches, promotional rollouts and in-store events in collaboration with corporate marketing and regional management.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecast demand, analyse performance metrics and recommend corrective actions to maximise revenue and margin.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations and loss-prevention procedures while maintaining a refined luxury client environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record managing a fragrance or beauty counter within a luxury or prestige cosmetics brand.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead, motivate and develop boutique-level teams to achieve sales targets and service excellence.
  • Strong clienteling and relationship-management aptitude with experience handling VIP clients and bespoke service requests.
  • Excellent communication skills, with professional fluency in Mandarin; proficiency in English is highly desirable.
  • High standards of personal presentation and comprehensive product knowledge across fragrance, makeup and skincare categories.

Experience
