Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised, high‑touch consultations across fragrance and cosmetics categories to cultivate long‑term client relationships and increase lifetime value.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and concession sales targets through consultative selling, upselling and strategic product recommendations.
  • Execute expert product demonstrations and application techniques, tailoring guidance to each client’s needs and preferences.
  • Manage clienteling activities: build and maintain a proprietary client book, schedule follow‑ups, and leverage in‑store and off‑site opportunities to drive repeat business.
  • Maintain visual merchandising and brand presentation standards at the Bloomingdale’s concession, ensuring displays, sampling and stock levels reflect Chanel’s aesthetic.
  • Operate point‑of‑sale systems accurately, process transactions, handle returns and adhere to inventory control and loss‑prevention procedures.
  • Collaborate with store management on localized events and product launches; participate in training and continuous product education.

Qualifications

  • Proven aptitude for delivering exceptional luxury retail service with sensitivity to client privacy and discretion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; polished presentation and professional grooming.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and apply consultative selling techniques.
  • Availability to work retail hours including weekends, evenings and peak promotional periods.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Experience

Preferably 1–3 years of retail experience in luxury beauty, fragrance, or premium cosmetics; experience within a department store concession environment (e.g., Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom) is advantageous.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; formal training or certification in cosmetology, makeup artistry or beauty retail is a plus.
