Chanel in Abu Dhabi seeks a Fitting Tailor for couture fittings, precision alterations and bespoke client service.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct in‑store fittings and alterations for haute couture and premium ready‑to‑wear garments, ensuring impeccable fit and finish.
  • Take precise measurements, mark garments and execute alterations using couture techniques (hand‑stitching, pad stitching, hemming, re‑setting linings).
  • Collaborate with the house atelier and production teams to communicate alteration specifications and follow through on bespoke requests.
  • Advise clients on fit, garment care and styling during fittings, delivering a discreet, client‑focused experience.
  • Maintain tailoring tools and workstation to Chanel standards, perform final pressing/finishing and quality‑control checks prior to client delivery.
  • Keep accurate records of alterations, measurements and client preferences while respecting confidentiality and data protection.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in tailoring, couture or equivalent vocational training, or completed apprenticeship in tailoring.
  • Proven mastery of couture and hand‑sewing techniques relevant to high‑end garments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrable commitment to finish and quality.
  • Strong client service aptitude with the ability to manage expectations of high‑net‑worth clientele discreetly.
  • Ability to collaborate with atelier teams and to document technical alteration requirements clearly.

Experience
