Financial Controller
Chanel is hiring a Financial Controller in Taipei City to lead regional financial reporting, controls and budgeting for the business.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and own regional month‑end and year‑end close, financial consolidation and statutory reporting in accordance with local GAAP and group accounting standards.
- Manage budgeting, rolling forecasts and variance analysis to support commercial decision‑making and performance monitoring.
- Establish, maintain and enhance internal control frameworks; ensure compliance with local tax, regulatory and reporting requirements and interface with external auditors.
- Supervise and develop a small accounting and finance team; set priorities and drive continuous process improvement and automation.
- Act as the primary finance liaison with Chanel headquarters and cross‑functional regional teams (commercial, retail, HR, legal) to ensure alignment on financial policies, pricing, inventory and capital expenditure.
- Oversee cash management, treasury coordination and working capital optimisation; provide ad hoc financial analysis for strategic projects and business cases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; advanced degree or certification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and Taiwan/local GAAP) and statutory reporting requirements.
- Proven leadership experience managing an accounting/finance team and coordinating with global finance centres.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with senior stakeholders and external auditors; high standards of confidentiality and professional ethics.
Skills
Experience
Typically 6–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a controller or senior accounting role; experience within luxury retail, fashion, consumer goods or a multinational environment is highly valued.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
