Financial Controller — Fragrance & Beauty
Chanel is hiring a Financial Controller, Fragrance & Beauty in Amsterdam to lead reporting, forecasting and finance business partnering for its beauty division.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close and preparation of accurate local and management financial statements for the Fragrance & Beauty business; ensure timeliness and integrity of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
- Own forecasting, budgeting and rolling reforecast processes; deliver insightful variance analysis and KPIs to support senior management decision-making.
- Manage statutory and management consolidation requirements in accordance with IFRS and local reporting standards; liaise with Group finance and external auditors.
- Provide proactive business partnering to commercial, marketing and supply chain stakeholders to translate commercial performance into financial actions and margin optimisation.
- Design, implement and monitor internal controls and SOX/Compliance requirements related to financial processes.
- Drive month-end efficiency and automation initiatives; maintain and optimise financial systems and reporting tools.
- Supervise, mentor and develop a small finance team; coordinate with shared service centres and regional finance colleagues.
- Support pricing, promotional analysis, inventory valuation and cost accounting specific to the fragrance and beauty category.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; Master’s degree or advanced professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and local Dutch accounting principles; experience with consolidation and statutory reporting.
- Track record of effective stakeholder management and commercial partnering within consumer goods or luxury retail contexts.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a small finance team and to manage relationships with auditors and central finance functions.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive finance experience in multinational corporates, ideally within FMCG, cosmetics or luxury retail, including hands-on month-end close, consolidation and business partnering responsibilities.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s degree or professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA) preferred.
