Chanel seeks a Fashion Advisor in Ginza, Tokyo — client-facing luxury retail role focused on personalised service and sales performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised, high‑touch client service to build lasting relationships and maximise lifetime value.
  • Achieve individual and store sales targets through proactive clienteling, cross-selling and upselling.
  • Maintain exceptional product knowledge across fashion, accessories and seasonal collections and communicate features and heritage to clients.
  • Manage client records and follow-up activities using boutique CRM to secure repeat business and private appointments.
  • Ensure visual merchandising and boutique standards reflect the brand’s aesthetic and seasonal directives.
  • Execute receiving, stock control and inventory procedures with accuracy and discretion.
  • Operate POS and complete transactions, returns and after‑sales processes in accordance with company policy.
  • Represent the brand at in-store events and support special client appointments and private‑sale initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Professional presentation with polished interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships; clienteling experience in luxury retail preferred.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours including weekends, evenings and peak shopping periods.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and experience meeting sales KPIs.
  • Legal right to work in Japan.

Experience

Typically 2+ years of client-facing experience in luxury retail or high-end fashion is preferred, with a demonstrated track record of meeting sales targets and delivering exemplary client service.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; tertiary studies in fashion, business, hospitality or related fields preferred.
