Chanel is hiring a Counter Manager in Toronto to lead a luxury beauty counter, drive sales and deliver exceptional client experiences.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a counter team to achieve and exceed sales KPIs while maintaining exemplary customer service and clienteling standards.
  • Develop and implement daily floor operations: staff rostering, product replenishment, stock management and loss prevention procedures.
  • Drive client acquisition and retention through proactive outreach, personalized consultations, and management of the client database.
  • Ensure visual merchandising, display standards and presentation conform to Chanel brand directives and seasonal initiatives.
  • Coach and develop team members through on‑the‑job training, performance reviews and targeted development plans.
  • Manage inventory cycles, receiving and transfers; liaise with district management and corporate logistics to reconcile stock and orders.
  • Execute product launches, promotional activity and in‑store events in collaboration with regional marketing and wholesale partners.
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, forecasts and insights to senior management; act on performance data to optimize results.

Qualifications

  • Proven management experience in luxury beauty or prestige retail, ideally within a department store or boutique environment.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing sales KPIs.
  • Strong clienteling and relationship‑building capabilities with a customer‑centric approach.
  • Excellent leadership and people‑development skills, including coaching, scheduling and performance management.
  • Solid organizational skills with experience in inventory control, merchandising and basic financial reporting.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada.

Experience

Typically requires 3–5 years of progressive retail experience in luxury beauty or prestige brands, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity overseeing a counter or small store team.

Education

High school diploma required; post‑secondary education in business, retail management, cosmetology or a related field is preferred.
