Communications & Culture Legal Intern
Chanel in Neuilly-sur-Seine seeks a Communications & Culture Legal Intern to support corporate communications, IP, media and compliance.

Role & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day legal support to the Corporate Communications & Culture teams, including review and redlining of contracts with agencies, vendors, production partners and collaborators.
- Assess legal risks and ensure compliance for editorial content, marketing campaigns, social media activations and public events.
- Draft concise legal opinions and clearance memos on intellectual property, image rights, advertising law, sponsorship and influencer collaborations.
- Support trademark and copyright clearance processes and coordinate with IP counsel and external firms as needed.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining internal policies, model clauses and approval workflows for communications activities.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (creative, marketing, HR, procurement) and external partners to secure contractual and compliance approvals within tight timelines.
- Contribute to training materials and compliance briefings for communications teams when required.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an advanced law program (Master 1 or Master 2) with specialization or coursework in intellectual property, media/advertising law or corporate law.
- Excellent drafting and analytical skills, with precise legal writing in French; strong command of English for professional use.
- High degree of discretion, intellectual curiosity and a demonstrable interest in luxury, culture and creative industries.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and respect strict deadlines.
- Professional integrity and strong interpersonal skills for collaborative, cross-functional work.
Skills
Experience
Internship-level position. Previous internships or practical experience in corporate law, intellectual property, media law or in-house communications teams are an advantage but not mandatory.
Education
Master's-level law student (Master 1 or Master 2) with coursework or specialization in IP, media/advertising law, corporate law or equivalent.
