Chanel — Paris: Beauty Advisor Internship (Assistant(e) Conseiller Beauté) starting July 2023, supporting in-store client service and product demonstrations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support in-store client service by greeting clients, managing appointments and providing personalised product advice and demonstrations.
  • Assist senior beauty advisors in achieving sales targets through proactive clientelling and follow-up.
  • Deliver makeup and skincare applications for clients and assist with complimentary consultations and samples.
  • Maintain visual merchandising and product presentation to Maison standards; replenish shelves and ensure stock is rotation-ready.
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and assist with transaction processing and administrative tasks.
  • Participate in product training sessions and rapidly assimilate product knowledge and brand positioning.
  • Contribute to boutique operations including inventory counts, sample management and cleanliness/hygiene protocols.
  • Support boutique events and launches, coordinating logistics and client invitations as required.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary programme in cosmetics, beauty therapy, retail, business or marketing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a polished, client-centric manner.
  • Strong interest in luxury beauty, makeup and skincare with an aptitude for product demonstration.
  • Flexible availability including weekends and some evenings; reliable punctuality and professional presentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a high‑standards retail environment and respond positively to coaching.

Experience

No prior experience is strictly required; previous client-facing or retail experience in beauty or luxury goods is advantageous.

Education

Enrolled in or recently completed a vocational or university programme in cosmetics, beauty therapy, retail, business or a related discipline.
