Business Systems Analyst — Finance (P2P / R2R)

Role & Responsibilities

• Analyse, document and optimise Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) and Record‑to‑Report (R2R) business processes, translating finance requirements into functional specifications.
• Act as primary liaison between finance stakeholders and IT/technical teams to scope, prioritise and deliver system enhancements and integrations.
• Configure and test ERP finance solutions, lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate defect resolution through to production.
• Support month‑end close activities, account reconciliations and data validation to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Design and maintain process documentation, mapping, test scripts and training materials; deliver end‑user training as required.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to strengthen controls and efficiency (including SOX/compliance requirements).
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions with technical teams and business owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Solid knowledge of P2P and R2R finance processes, internal controls and month‑end close procedures.
• Proven capability to gather requirements, produce functional specifications and manage UAT with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) or an ERP certification is desirable.

Skills

Experience

Typically 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in finance systems or ERP projects with demonstrable exposure to P2P and R2R. Experience working across finance and IT teams on implementations, enhancements or support for global finance processes is expected.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
