Business Development Manager
Chanel is hiring a Business Development Manager in Seoul — lead commercial strategy and partnerships for the Korean market.

Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute market-specific commercial strategies to grow revenue and market share across retail, wholesale and partner channels in Korea.
- Own P&L targets for assigned channels or categories; prepare sales forecasts, margin analysis and quarterly business reviews.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with wholesale accounts, department stores and local distributors; negotiate commercial terms and contractual agreements.
- Collaborate closely with merchandising, marketing, retail operations and product teams to align assortment, visual merchandising and promotional programmes with brand standards.
- Lead clienteling and CRM initiatives to amplify high-net-worth client acquisition, retention and lifetime value.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and consumer insights to recommend assortment, pricing and go-to-market adjustments.
- Manage cross-functional projects and provide clear direction to local teams; act as the internal commercial expert for the South Korea market.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
- Proven ability to manage commercial P&L and deliver measurable sales growth in luxury fashion or premium goods.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience managing wholesale contracts and retail partnerships.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Commercial fluency in Korean and business-level English preferred.
- High standards of discretion, brand sensibility and knowledge of luxury client expectations.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive commercial experience within luxury fashion, premium accessories or beauty, including direct responsibility for channels such as retail, wholesale or partnerships. Demonstrated track record of meeting sales targets and negotiating commercial agreements in the Korean market is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or equivalent; advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
