Role & Responsibilities
- Lead daily boutique operations for the watches and fine jewelry division, ensuring flawless client service and operational discipline.
- Coach, mentor and motivate sales advisors to achieve individual and store sales targets, with a focus on VIP and high-net-worth client development.
- Drive sales performance through active clienteling, appointment management and personalised follow-up for watch and jewelry clientele.
- Maintain visual merchandising and presentation standards specific to high-value timepieces and jewelry, in line with brand directives.
- Oversee stock control, secure handling of high-value inventory, regular reconciliations and liaison with the supply chain and regional teams.
- Manage customer escalations and after-sales service cases, coordinating repairs, warranties and bespoke client requests.
- Prepare and deliver accurate sales and activity reports to regional management; implement promotional and product launch initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with brand security, cash handling and regulatory procedures for sale of luxury watches and precious stones.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in luxury retail, preferably within watches and/or fine jewelry.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing VIP client portfolios.
- Excellent knowledge of watchmaking terminology, gemstones, precious metals and fine jewelry construction.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills with the ability to develop a high-performing sales team.
- Discretion, impeccable presentation and a client-first service ethic appropriate to a luxury house.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet client appointments and boutique needs.
Skills
Experience
Typically 4+ years in luxury retail with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior sales role; direct experience selling watches and/or fine jewelry and managing VIP clientele is preferred.
Education
Secondary education required; tertiary qualification in retail, business or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent professional experience in luxury retail.
