Chanel in Paris seeks a Boutique Cashier for its Avenue Montaigne store — permanent full‑time role delivering luxury checkout service.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Operate the point‑of‑sale terminal to process purchases, returns, exchanges and refunds across cash, card and contactless payments while ensuring payment security and data confidentiality.
  • Deliver exemplary, personalised client service at the checkout that reflects Chanel’s luxury standards and enhances the in‑store experience.
  • Reconcile and balance the cash drawer at shift changes and end of day; prepare accurate till reports and lodge variances in accordance with store procedures.
  • Support sales advisors with client queries, reservations and after‑sales services, ensuring seamless handovers and follow‑up.
  • Ensure transactional compliance with anti‑fraud, anti‑money‑laundering and loss‑prevention protocols; escalate irregularities to management.
  • Maintain impeccable presentation of the cash desk area and adjacent merchandising; assist with boutique opening and closing routines.
  • Record and communicate daily sales metrics and any operational issues to store management; assist with stock movements and simple inventory tasks when required.
  • Uphold confidentiality and discretion with high‑net‑worth clients and sensitive commercial information.

Qualifications

  • Proven numeracy and meticulous attention to detail in cash handling and reconciliation.
  • Professional demeanour, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver calm, refined service under pressure.
  • Demonstrable integrity and adherence to compliance and security procedures.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by boutique operations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small, high‑performing boutique team.

Experience
