Billing Specialist
Chanel — Paris: Billing Specialist to manage invoicing and accounts receivable for the luxury house.

Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end invoicing processes for wholesale, retail and corporate clients, ensuring accuracy and timely issuance of invoices.
- Oversee accounts receivable activities, monitor customer balances, perform credit control and coordinate collection efforts.
- Reconcile billing accounts and ledgers; prepare supporting schedules for month-end close and audit requests.
- Process and control credit notes, billing adjustments and dispute resolutions in coordination with sales, client services and legal teams.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax rules (VAT) and internal accounting policies; escalate irregularities and propose corrective actions.
- Produce regular billing reports and KPIs; suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification (BTS, DUT comptabilité acceptable).
- Professional fluency in French and working proficiency in English are strongly preferred given the Paris location and international stakeholder base.
- Strong numerical accuracy, organisational discipline and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight month-end deadlines.
- Knowledge of French VAT rules and basic accounting principles; understanding of credit control and collections workflows.

Experience
1–3 years of hands-on experience in billing, accounts receivable or a closely related finance function, ideally within retail, luxury goods or an international corporate environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent (professional diplomas such as BTS/DUT in accounting acceptable).
