Beauty Consultant Assistant

Role & Responsibilities

• Support senior Beauty Advisors on the cosmetics counter by assisting with client consultations, product demonstrations and sample distribution.
• Perform makeup application and basic skincare analyses to showcase product benefits and to drive conversion.
• Deliver high-touch clienteling: welcome clients, manage appointments, build rapport and document client preferences.
• Operate point-of-sale transactions, handle payments and support after-sales processes with accuracy and discretion.
• Maintain boutique presentation and visual merchandising according to Chanel standards, including stock rotation and display upkeep.
• Manage inventory replenishment, receive deliveries and ensure product integrity and hygiene.
• Assist with in-store events, launches and promotional activities, contributing to traffic generation and client follow-up.
• Adhere to brand protocols for sanitation, product sampling and regulatory compliance while upholding the maison’s image.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable passion for beauty and luxury retail with an acute sense of presentation and service.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and advise clients confidently.
• Professional grooming, meticulous attention to detail and a polished, client-facing demeanour.
• Availability to work a flexible retail schedule including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Basic numeracy and experience handling cash or point-of-sale systems; reliability and punctuality are essential.
• Multilingual ability is an asset; strong teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced boutique environment.

Skills

Experience

Previous experience in beauty retail, cosmetics counters or luxury-brand sales is preferred (typically 1+ year). Experience with makeup application and client consultations is advantageous.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in cosmetology/beauty therapy is preferred.
