Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised consultations and product recommendations across fragrance and cosmetic portfolios to affluent and discerning clients.
  • Perform professional makeup applications and fragrance fittings, demonstrating product benefits and application techniques.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through proactive clienteling, follow-ups and tailored service plans.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and boutique sales targets while maintaining exceptional service standards and confidentiality.
  • Execute in-store merchandising and visual standards to reflect Chanel’s aesthetic, including stock rotation and presentation.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records and manage stock levels using the boutique’s POS/CRM systems.
  • Participate in in-house training, product launches and promotional activities; act as an ambassador for brand values and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Fluent Japanese and strong interpersonal communication skills (client-facing fluency expected).
  • Professional competence in makeup application and fragrance consultation; formal beauty/cosmetology training preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver luxury-level customer service with tact, discretion and cultural sensitivity.
  • Availability to work flexible retail hours, including evenings, weekends and peak seasonal periods.
  • Right to work in Japan (work permit or residency status) and legal employment eligibility.

Experience

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in cosmetology, beauty therapy or professional makeup certification is preferred.
