Beauty and Fragrance Advisor (Apprenticeship)

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised client consultations and product recommendations across skincare, makeup and fragrances to maintain Chanel’s signature standard of service.
• Support daily sales activity to achieve individual and boutique targets while maintaining client records and follow-up communications.
• Participate in and apply product, fragrance and makeup training modules provided by the Maison.
• Assist with visual merchandising and in-store presentation to ensure displays reflect seasonal direction and brand guidelines.
• Operate POS systems, process transactions and support cash handling procedures with accuracy.
• Manage stock: receive deliveries, replenish displays, and support inventory counts.
• Maintain boutique cleanliness, product sampling and tester rotation in line with luxury retail hygiene standards.
• Contribute to local marketing and clienteling initiatives (events, invitations, sample programmes) as required.

Qualifications

• Enrolment in an approved alternance/apprenticeship programme or vocational course in commerce, retail, beauty or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable passion for luxury beauty, skincare, makeup and fragrance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset and polished professional presentation.
• Availability to work flexible retail hours including evenings and weekends, per boutique rota.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for merchandising and stock management.
• Legal right to work in France for the duration of the apprenticeship.

Experience

Entry-level: previous retail or beauty experience is advantageous but not required; the role is designed for candidates seeking a structured apprenticeship in luxury beauty retail.

Education

Currently enrolled in an alternance/apprenticeship programme or vocational certification in commerce, retail, beauty or related field (Bac Pro/BTS/undergraduate vocational course or equivalent).
