Chanel in Paris seeks a Beauty Advisor (CDD) for Galeries Lafayette — fixed-term role delivering luxury cosmetics consultations and sales.

Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver a personalised, luxury client experience at the Galeries Lafayette Chanel counter, acting as a brand ambassador for makeup, skincare and fragrance ranges.
- Conduct consultations, product demonstrations and makeup applications to educate clients and drive conversions.
- Build and maintain client relationships through proactive clienteling, CRM use and follow-up to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Consistently meet and exceed individual and counter sales targets and KPIs.
- Ensure impeccable visual merchandising and presentation of the counter according to Chanel brand standards.
- Manage stock levels, process transactions accurately at the POS and support inventory reconciliations and receiving.
- Participate in product training, promotional events and in-store activations; collaborate with Galeries Lafayette retail management.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene, safety and regulatory compliance for cosmetic services.
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience in cosmetics or luxury beauty — typically 1+ years at a department store counter or boutique preferred.
- Demonstrable sales performance and client development skills.
- Polished, professional presentation and strong interpersonal communication.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and peak retail periods.
- Right to work in France for the duration of a fixed-term contract (CDD).
- Willingness to pursue brand training and meet Chanel service standards.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in cosmetics or luxury beauty retail; prior work at a department store counter (Galeries Lafayette or similar) is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma; vocational training or certification in beauty, cosmetology or makeup artistry preferred.
