Chanel seeks a Makeup Artist for Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in Paris — permanent role providing bespoke makeup services and driving luxury retail sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional makeup services and personalised consultations in accordance with Chanel beauty standards at the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann boutique.
  • Provide tailored product recommendations and convert consultations into retail sales while achieving individual and boutique KPIs.
  • Maintain flawless presentation of the makeup counter: merchandising, inventory management, stock rotation and adherence to visual directives.
  • Ensure impeccable hygiene and sanitation of tools, products and workstations; adhere to all safety and regulatory protocols.
  • Build and sustain client relationships through proactive clienteling, appointment management and aftercare follow-up.
  • Support in-store activations, masterclasses and VIP events; represent the brand with poise at promotional occasions.
  • Record client preferences and service history accurately in the CRM and communicate feedback to boutique management.

Qualifications

  • Professional certification or diploma in makeup artistry, cosmetology or equivalent vocational training.
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen with a record of achieving sales targets in a retail or counter environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to create a luxurious, consultative client experience.
  • Availability to work a retail schedule including weekends, evenings and peak seasonal periods.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand presentation and hygiene standards.

Experience

At least 2 years' professional experience as a makeup artist or beauty advisor within prestige cosmetics, department store counters or luxury boutiques; prior experience with a premium beauty brand is preferred.

Education

Vocational diploma or professional certification in makeup artistry or cosmetology, or equivalent professional experience.
