Assistant Visual Merchandising (Internship)
Chanel Paris seeks an Assistant Visual Merchandising Intern for the fashion boutique (Spring–July 2023). Support window displays, in-store installations and VM operations.

Role & Responsibilities
- Support the visual merchandising team in the execution and maintenance of in-store displays, windows and seasonal installations consistent with Chanel’s brand guidelines.
- Assist with the installation and dressing of mannequins, fixtures and props; ensure product placement aligns with merchandising plans and key storylines.
- Prepare moodboards, floor plans and visual briefs to communicate concepts to store teams and HQ.
- Document installations through photography and produce visual reports for the VM manager.
- Coordinate logistics for VM deliveries, fixtures and props, and liaise with store operations to schedule installations with minimal commercial disruption.
- Monitor stock used for displays, maintain VM kit inventory and ensure signage, pricing and labels are accurate and on-brand.
- Support boutique teams during product launches and special events by executing ad-hoc display or staging requirements.
- Perform administrative tasks related to visual merchandising, including filing, archive management and supplier follow-ups.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a university or grande école program in visual merchandising, fashion design, retail, interior design or a related discipline.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility with a demonstrable interest in fashion retail and luxury presentation.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced boutique environment and to take direction from senior VM staff.
- Physical ability to perform installation tasks (lifting, dressing mannequins, using basic hand tools) and flexibility for occasional weekend or extended hours during launches.
- Eligibility to undertake an internship in France according to local regulations.

Experience
Prior retail or visual merchandising experience is preferred; previous internships in fashion boutiques, merchandising teams or store operations are advantageous.
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in visual merchandising, fashion, retail, interior design or a closely related field.
