Chanel in Paris seeks an Assistant Store Manager (Internship) — 4-month fashion boutique internship starting Sept 2024.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the store manager in daily boutique operations, ensuring sales targets and KPIs are met.
  • Deliver an exceptional, personalised client experience through active clienteling and follow-up.
  • Coach and supervise sales advisors during shifts; assist with staff scheduling and performance feedback.
  • Contribute to merchandising and visual standards to reflect brand image and seasonal directives.
  • Assist with stock management, inventory controls, receiving and replenishment procedures.
  • Execute point-of-sale transactions and ensure compliance with cash handling and administrative procedures.
  • Participate in boutique events, VIP appointments and local commercial initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma programme in Business, Retail, Fashion, Luxury Brand Management or related field.
  • Availability for a fixed 4-month internship beginning September 2024 and eligible to undertake an internship in France.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a polished, client-centric demeanour appropriate for luxury retail.
  • Professional presentation, discretion and ability to operate under high service standards.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by boutique operations.

Experience

Previous retail or client-facing experience is preferred; seasonal sales, boutique internships or hospitality roles demonstrating strong service orientation will be considered an asset.

Education

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Fashion, Luxury Management, Retail or a related discipline.
