Chanel Paris seeks an Assistant Sales Manager (Intern) for its fashion boutique — July 2023 internship in-store, client service and boutique operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the boutique manager in daily store operations to ensure seamless service and commercial performance.
  • Assist with clienteling activities, high-touch customer relations and follow-up to cultivate lasting client loyalty.
  • Supervise and coach sales advisors on selling techniques, product knowledge and service standards during the internship period.
  • Contribute to visual merchandising and floor presentation to uphold brand image and seasonal directives.
  • Participate in stock control, inventory processes and receipt/processing of merchandise.
  • Prepare and analyse basic sales reports and KPI summaries to inform local sales actions.
  • Support boutique events, private appointments and in-store activations as required.

Qualifications

  • Enrolment in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Business, Luxury Management, Retail or related field.
  • Availability to begin the internship in July 2023 and to work a retail schedule including weekends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, polished presentation and a demonstrated interest in luxury fashion.
  • Ability to work discretely with high-net-worth clients and to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Legal right to undertake an internship in France.

Experience

Prior retail or hospitality experience is desirable; any experience in luxury goods, boutique sales or supervisory roles will be considered an advantage but is not mandatory for the internship.

Education

Currently enrolled in tertiary education (Bachelor's or Master's) in Business, Luxury Management, Retail, Marketing or a related discipline.
