Assistant Product Manager, Ready-to-Wear (Intern)

Role & Responsibilities
- Support the ready-to-wear product development cycle from initial design intent through to prototype and final delivery, ensuring alignment with collection timelines.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including tech packs, measurement charts and construction notes; ensure accuracy and version control.
- Coordinate sample production and logistics with internal ateliers and external suppliers; organise and attend fit sessions and fittings.
- Monitor quality and conformity of samples against design and technical specifications; initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with design, sourcing, production, quality and merchandising teams to resolve development issues and track milestones.
- Update and reconcile product data in PLM/production tracking tools and contribute to costings and bill of materials as required.
- Compile development reports and communicate status updates to the product management team and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree programme in Fashion Design, Product Development, Textiles, Industrial Design or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking basics and fabric behaviour.
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Keen attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation and quality control.
- Professional demeanour and ability to collaborate effectively across creative and technical teams.
Skills
Experience
Relevant prior internships or project work in apparel product development, sampling or technical design is advantageous but not mandatory. The role is targeted at students seeking practical, hands‑on exposure to ready-to-wear development.
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Fashion, Product Development, Textiles, Industrial Design or a comparable field.
