Assistant Product Manager — Footwear Development (Internship)

Role & Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end product development process for footwear collections, from concept to production.
- Coordinate sample requests, fittings and iterative prototype cycles with internal design, technical and production teams.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and tech packs, ensuring accuracy of measurements, materials and construction notes.
- Liaise with external suppliers and factories to follow up on sample status, quality issues and delivery schedules.
- Track development timelines and update production calendars to meet seasonal deadlines.
- Assist with materials sourcing and trim validation, including sample labelling and internal approvals.
- Compile development reports, cost overviews and presentation materials for cross‑functional review meetings.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in fashion, product development, industrial design or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable interest in footwear design and construction, with knowledge of lasts, lasts fitting and basic shoe manufacturing processes.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to technical detail and document management.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple parallel tasks to tight deadlines.
- Professional communication skills; ability to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders with discretion and clarity.

Experience
Previous internship experience in product development, footwear, accessories or a technical studio is preferred but not mandatory; demonstrable project work or practical exposure to shoe prototyping will be advantageous.
Education
Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Industrial Design, or a related field.
