Chanel Paris seeks an Assistant Operations Manager (Work‑Study) for its Fashion boutique — alternance starting September 2026 in Paris.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support daily boutique operations to ensure service excellence and compliance with Chanel operational standards.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with stock management: reception of deliveries, put‑away, stock reconciliations and cycle counts.
  • Coordinate logistics with headquarters and external partners to streamline inbound/outbound flows and resolve discrepancies.
  • Contribute to merchandising and visual standards implementation, including stock rotation and replenishment on the salesfloor.
  • Prepare operational and sales reports, analyse key performance indicators and provide actionable feedback to the store team.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as invoices, paperwork for deliveries, and maintenance of operational records.
  • Support team scheduling, induction of new hires and dissemination of procedural updates; step in to supervise the floor when required.
  • Ensure adherence to loss‑prevention, health & safety and brand presentation procedures at all times.

Qualifications

  • Enrolment in a recognised higher‑education programme in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (alternance/work‑study track).
  • Legal eligibility to undertake an alternance contract in France (work‑study/apprenticeship authorization).
  • Availability to start in September 2026 and commit to the full alternance period as defined by the training agreement.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and evenings, and to travel between boutiques if required.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a professional, client‑centric demeanour.

Experience

Previous retail or customer‑facing internship(s) or part‑time experience is preferred but not mandatory; demonstrable interest in luxury retail operations and practical exposure to stock or front‑of‑house activities will be advantageous.

Education

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Hospitality or a related field (alternance/work‑study pathway required).
