Chanel Paris seeks an Alternance Assistant, Maintenance & Repair (Boutiques Mode) — work‑study position in Paris starting Sept 2026.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Process and coordinate maintenance, alterations and repair requests received from Chanel fashion boutiques in Paris, ensuring timely turnaround in line with brand standards.
  • Inspect garments and accessories to assess required interventions; prepare and label items for atelier or external supplier work.
  • Track workflow and status of repairs in the service database; manage incoming/outgoing logistics with couriers and internal dispatch.
  • Perform quality control on completed repairs and finishing; document defects and corrective actions to maintain traceability.
  • Liaise with boutique teams, in‑house ateliers and approved external suppliers to schedule work and follow up on special requests.
  • Provide administrative support: prepare work orders, update inventory records, handle client communication regarding repair status and delivery.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality, preservation procedures and compliance with Chanel’s presentation and care standards.

Qualifications

  • Enrolment in an alternance (work‑study) programme in fashion, textiles, luxury retail or a related vocational course is required.
  • Basic knowledge of garment construction, fabrics and alteration techniques; familiarity with luxury product handling.
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise multiple repair requests and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity for inspection and finishing tasks.
  • Professional communication skills and discretion when interacting with clients and internal stakeholders.

Experience

Suitable for candidates at the start of their career; prior experience in a retail boutique, couture atelier or garment‑care environment is advantageous but not mandatory. Demonstrable hands‑on experience with alterations or textile handling will be valued.

Education

Currently enrolled in a recognised vocational or tertiary programme in fashion, textiles, luxury retail or a related discipline (e.g., BTS Métiers de la Mode, professional diploma or equivalent work‑study course).
