Chanel in Paris seeks an Assistant, Global Style Development & Coordination (Alternance) to join the fashion development team from Sept 2026.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Global Style Development & Coordination Manager in day-to-day delivery of seasonal collections across ready-to-wear and/or accessories ranges.
  • Coordinate development timelines and follow up on sample progress with internal teams (design, production, sourcing, quality) and external ateliers or suppliers.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and spec sheets; assist in the preparation of tech packs for handover to suppliers.
  • Track and update PLM or internal tracking systems with statuses, comments and modifications to ensure traceability of changes.
  • Organize meetings, record minutes, manage action lists and ensure timely communication of decisions to stakeholders.
  • Compile data and produce clear presentations and progress reports for the Global Style Development team and senior stakeholders.
  • Support quality checks and liaise with industrialization teams to ensure patterns and fittings align with the brand’s standards.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects related to process improvement, collection launches and cross-border coordination.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a recognised higher-education programme (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in fashion design, product development, industrialization, or fashion management under an alternance/apprenticeship scheme.
  • Strong organisational aptitude with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a matrixed environment.
  • Working knowledge of garment construction and technical specifications; familiarity with tech packs and fitting processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional composure when interacting with internal and external partners.
  • Proactive problem-solver with attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation and follow-up.

Experience

Prior internship or work experience in fashion product development, industrialisation, or a related coordination role is advantageous but not mandatory; candidates must be eligible for alternance/apprenticeship placement and demonstrate practical exposure to garment development workflows.

Education

Enrolment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Fashion Design, Product Development, Industrialization, Fashion Business or equivalent (alternance/apprenticeship status required).
