Chanel Paris — Internship: Assistant Sales Manager (Boutique Fashion). Support boutique operations and client relations starting July 2023.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the boutique manager in daily store operations, ensuring smooth front-of-house execution and adherence to brand standards.
  • Support the sales team in delivering exceptional, personalised client service and in clienteling activities (appointments, follow-ups, CRM entries).
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets through active selling, upselling and participation in client events and VIP outreach.
  • Implement and maintain visual merchandising and store presentation according to Chanel guidelines.
  • Participate in stock management: reception, inventory control, replenishment and loss prevention procedures.
  • Prepare daily and weekly sales reports, reconcile cash handling and support administrative tasks.
  • Support onboarding and informal coaching of sales staff; act as a point of contact during the manager's absence when required.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's programme in Fashion, Luxury Management, Business or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in luxury retail and an appreciation for Chanel's heritage and aesthetic.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-focused attitude and polished professional demeanour.
  • Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple operational tasks in a fast-paced boutique environment.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and evenings; willingness to participate in events and client appointments.

Experience

Previous retail or luxury-facing experience is advantageous but not mandatory; internships, part-time sales roles or client-facing positions in premium brands will be considered favourably.

Education

Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Luxury Management, Business or a related field.
