Chanel seeks an Area Sales Manager Fragrance & Beauty in Prague to lead commercial operations for CZ & SK and grow luxury beauty sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the commercial strategy for fragrance and beauty across the Czech Republic and Slovakia to achieve net sales, margin and market share objectives.
  • Manage and develop relationships with key accounts including department stores, selective retailers, distributors and travel retail partners; negotiate commercial terms and annual business plans.
  • Lead, coach and motivate multi‑disciplinary sales teams and field representatives to deliver consistent client experience and activation of brand initiatives.
  • Drive retail execution and visual merchandising standards in stores and counters, ensuring alignment with global brand directives and local regulations.
  • Forecast sales, monitor KPIs, manage budgets and deliver regular performance reporting to regional headquarters.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives with marketing, trade marketing, supply chain and training to optimise product launches and promotional activity.
  • Implement pricing, inventory and replenishment practices to protect brand integrity and minimise stock risk.
  • Recruit, structure and develop the commercial organisation in market, fostering a high‑performance culture and succession planning.

Qualifications

  • Proven commercial leadership in luxury beauty, cosmetics or fragrance with in‑market responsibility for Czechia and/or Slovakia.
  • Track record of managing key accounts, negotiating commercial agreements and delivering sustainable sales growth.
  • Strong people management skills with experience coaching field teams and store personnel.
  • Commercial acumen including forecasting, budgeting and P&L awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to influence at senior customer and internal stakeholder levels.
  • Fluency in Czech and Slovak is strongly preferred; professional working proficiency in English.

Experience

Typically 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in sales or commercial management within luxury beauty, fragrance or premium cosmetics. Demonstrable success leading cross‑border territories, managing distributor/retailer relationships and achieving ambitious sales targets.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or equivalent commercial experience; postgraduate credentials in luxury brand management or commerce are advantageous.
