Chanel in Seoul seeks an Advanced Analytics Manager to lead data science and analytics for retail, CRM and e‑commerce.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end analytics programmes that inform commercial strategy across retail, e‑commerce and CRM (customer segmentation, LTV, personalization, pricing and assortment).
  • Translate business priorities into analytical roadmaps and deliverables; design experiments, build predictive models and produce actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Oversee development, validation and deployment of machine learning models and forecasting solutions, ensuring production readiness and performance monitoring.
  • Manage, mentor and scale a multidisciplinary analytics team; recruit talent and foster rigorous analytical practices and reproducible workflows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, Retail Operations, IT and Digital teams to operationalize insights and track KPIs.
  • Define data requirements and partner with data engineering to improve data quality, pipeline reliability and analytics tooling (ETL, feature stores, model serving).
  • Present complex analyses and recommendations clearly to non-technical executives, and translate strategic decisions into measurable experiments.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or equivalent quantitative discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record delivering analytical solutions in retail, luxury, fashion or consumer goods environments.
  • Demonstrable people management experience with ability to hire, develop and scale analytics teams.
  • Strong command of statistical modelling, forecasting, causal inference and machine learning methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; experience presenting to executive leadership and influencing cross-functional priorities.

Experience

Senior analytics professional with approximately 5+ years in analytics or data science and at least 1–2 years leading teams or major cross‑functional programmes; experience in retail, luxury, e‑commerce or CRM analytics preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline required; Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field preferred.
