Chanel — Advanced Analytics Manager, Fashion, North Asia (Hong Kong): lead analytics & data science for merchandising, CRM and retail performance across North Asia.

Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the advanced analytics strategy for Chanel’s fashion business across North Asia, aligning analytics deliverables with regional commercial priorities.
- Develop and deploy predictive models and forecasting frameworks for demand planning, inventory optimisation, pricing elasticity and assortment performance.
- Turn complex data into actionable commercial insights for Merchandising, Retail, CRM and Marketing teams, producing dashboards, regular reports and ad hoc analyses.
- Lead a small analytics/data science team: recruit, mentor, set objectives, and ensure high-quality delivery and professional development.
- Partner with IT and Data Engineering to shape analytics infrastructure, data pipelines and governance (cloud data platforms, BI tools, model deployment).
- Design and oversee experimentation and A/B testing to validate commercial initiatives and digital experiences.
- Communicate findings and influence senior stakeholders through clear storytelling, business cases and ROI analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or related quantitative discipline; Master’s preferred.
- Proven track record of leading analytics projects in retail, luxury goods or fashion across the Asia region.
- Demonstrable experience managing a team of analysts/data scientists and partnering with cross-functional commercial stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of retail KPIs (sell-through, inventory turnover, margin, conversion).
- Ability to translate data science outputs into pragmatic recommendations and measurable business impact.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive analytics or data science experience, with prior exposure to retail or luxury fashion and a minimum of 2 years in a people-management role or leading cross-functional analytics workstreams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or a related quantitative discipline; Master’s degree or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
