Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable cycle: invoicing, cash application, posting receipts and credit notes.
- Reconcile customer accounts and aged receivables; investigate and resolve discrepancies with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Drive collections and credit-control activities in line with company policies to minimise outstanding balances.
- Prepare and support month-end and year-end close tasks related to receivables, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Liaise with Sales, Customer Service and Logistics to resolve disputed items and ensure correct revenue recognition.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company accounting policies and applicable French accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation for receivables processes.
- Participate in process-improvement projects and ERP/system optimisation initiatives affecting receivables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification.
- Solid knowledge of accounts receivable processes and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet tight month-end deadlines and work within cross-functional teams.
- Professional integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2–4 years' experience in accounts receivable or general accounting, preferably within retail, luxury, consumer goods or a multinational environment.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
