Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive technical development and industrialization of new jewellery and/or watch collections from concept to production, ensuring feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Translate design intent into clear technical specifications, drawings, BOMs and production dossiers; maintain documentation and version control.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams — design, prototyping, production, quality and external suppliers — to meet project timelines and quality targets.
  • Manage prototyping, iterative testing and validation; define test protocols and address technical non-conformities with corrective actions.
  • Develop and qualify suppliers and manufacturing processes; negotiate technical requirements, tolerances and cost-to-serve trade-offs.
  • Contribute to product cost optimization, industrial process improvements and transfer of production to internal ateliers or external partners.

Qualifications

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, industrial design, watchmaking/jewellery technical diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven track record (typically 3+ years) in product development/industrialization within luxury jewellery, watchmaking or precision manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of precious metals, gemstones and associated manufacturing techniques, or demonstrable experience in related sectors.
  • Fluency in technical drawing standards and experience producing precise technical dossiers for small-scale/high-precision manufacture.

Education

Engineering degree, materials science or equivalent technical diploma; specialized training in watchmaking or jewellery manufacturing is an advantage.
