Cartier Paris is hiring a Supplier Accounting Manager (Accounts Payable Manager) — permanent, full‑time role managing supplier ledger and payments.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage the end‑to‑end supplier accounting cycle: invoice receipt, validation, matching (PO and non‑PO), posting and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Coordinate and execute supplier payment runs in line with treasury and cash‑flow policies; monitor payment terms and early payment opportunities.
  • Perform periodic supplier reconciliations and investigate/clear open items and supplier statements.
  • Lead month‑end and year‑end supplier accounting activities: accruals, cut‑offs, account analysis and reporting for closing packages.
  • Maintain and govern vendor master data, ensuring accuracy and segregation of duties across systems.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls and process improvements to mitigate risk and improve efficiency (including compliance with group policies).
  • Act as primary liaison with procurement, treasury, operations and external suppliers to resolve queries and streamline processes.
  • Supervise, coach and develop junior accounting staff; allocate workload and ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; professional accounting qualification (e.g., DCG, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and supplier/accounts payable processes, including month‑end close and accruals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and to work cross‑functionally with procurement, treasury and operations.
  • Track record of operating within robust control environments and delivering process improvements.

Experience

Typically 3–5+ years of progressive supplier/accounts payable experience, with at least some supervisory responsibility; experience in a multinational or luxury retail environment is advantageous.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; professional accounting certification preferred.
