Role & Responsibilities
- Define and drive the international product strategy and seasonal collection roadmaps for fine jewellery, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and commercial targets.
- Lead end‑to‑end product development: concept, technical specification, prototyping with ateliers, quality control and industrialization for multiple markets.
- Establish pricing, costing and margin frameworks; collaborate with Finance to validate commercial performance and P&L implications of assortment decisions.
- Coordinate cross‑functional launch execution with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Retail, Wholesale and E‑commerce to ensure cohesive go‑to‑market plans.
- Manage assortment and SKU planning, lifecycle management and replenishment rules across channels and regions.
- Source and manage relationships with external suppliers, manufacturers and gemological partners; ensure compliance with quality, ethical and sustainability standards.
- Monitor market trends, competitive intelligence and consumer insights to inform product innovation and assortment optimisation.
- Mentor and coach junior product staff and act as a key decision maker in design/production meetings.
Qualifications
- Advanced undergraduate or master’s degree in Jewelry Design, Gemmology, Industrial/Product Design, Business or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6–8 years of progressive product management experience in luxury jewellery or high jewellery, with demonstrable success on international collections.
- Solid technical understanding of jewellery manufacture, gemstones, precious metals and production constraints; gemology certification is a strong advantage.
- Proven commercial acumen: experience setting pricing, margin targets and managing product P&L.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑disciplinary teams and to influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed, global organisation.
Skills
Experience
At least 6–8 years in product management roles within luxury jewellery or a closely related segment, including hands‑on experience with collection development, manufacturing processes and international market launches. Prior exposure to high jewellery/haute joaillerie projects and atelier collaboration is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or specialised qualification in gemology or jewellery design preferred.
