Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define, document and optimise production and inspection methods for watchmaking and precision components.
  • Develop and maintain control plans, inspection instructions and sampling procedures to ensure product conformity.
  • Perform first‑piece inspections, process inspections and dimensional verifications using metrology equipment.
  • Lead root cause analyses and drive corrective and preventive actions (8D/CAPA) in collaboration with production and engineering.
  • Implement and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability studies; propose process improvements.
  • Support qualification of tools, fixtures and measurement devices, including gauge R&R and calibration follow‑up.
  • Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing engineering to industrialise new references and transfer processes to production.
  • Train and coach operators on inspection methods, measurement techniques and quality standards.
  • Prepare documentation and evidence for internal audits and support compliance with applicable quality systems.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma or degree in watchmaking, micro‑mechanics, mechanical engineering or quality engineering (or equivalent).
  • Practical experience with precision manufacturing quality methods and inspection techniques.
  • Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions (8D/CAPA).
  • Strong aptitude for metrology and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • High attention to detail, methodical approach and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.

Experience
