Payroll Specialist
Cartier in Paris seeks a Payroll Specialist (Gestionnaire de Paie) to manage French payroll and statutory filings for the maison.

Role & Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing for French employees, ensuring accuracy of gross-to-net calculations and timely payslip distribution.
- Prepare and submit statutory social declarations, including DSN, URSSAF contributions and related filings; ensure compliance with French labour and social-security legislation.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end payroll close activities and reconciliations with accounts payable and general ledger.
- Maintain payroll master data (contracts, salary elements, absences, benefits) and ensure integrity of HR/payroll interfaces.
- Liaise with HR, Finance and external providers (payroll bureaus, social agencies) to resolve inquiries and audit requests.
- Implement changes arising from collective agreements, legal updates or internal policy modifications and communicate impact to stakeholders.
- Support payroll audits and produce payroll-related reporting and management information on demand.
- Drive process improvements and contribute to payroll projects, including software upgrades and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of French payroll legislation, social contributions and DSN procedures.
- Proven ability to interpret collective bargaining agreements and apply them to payroll calculation.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail with demonstrated control procedures.
- Capacity to manage confidential employee data with discretion and professional integrity.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3+ years of hands-on payroll experience within France, ideally gained in a multi-entity or luxury retail environment, with exposure to payroll reporting, audits and external provider management.
Education
Degree or diploma in accounting, finance, human resources or equivalent professional training in payroll; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
