Role & Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end product development process for premium packaging, from brief and concept through prototype, tooling and final production.
- Draft and maintain technical specifications, material dossiers and packaging artwork in accordance with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders (design, product, quality, logistics, sustainability) to ensure alignment on quality, cost and timing.
- Liaise with suppliers: request quotes (RFQs), follow sampling cycles, consolidate feedback, and track lead times and order status.
- Assist in supplier selection and performance follow-up, including quality control checks, non‑conformance handling and continuous improvement actions.
- Contribute to cost analyses and purchasing documentation; support purchase order creation and administrative follow‑up under the supervision of the sourcing team.
- Monitor sustainability and material compliance criteria, proposing alternatives that balance aesthetic, functional and environmental considerations.
Qualifications
- Enrolment in a recognised Bachelor's or Master's programme in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Design, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or equivalent.
- Strong interest in luxury packaging, materiality and product presentation, with a keen eye for detail and finish.
- Good organisational skills, ability to manage parallel tasks and to meet production-driven deadlines.
- Professional maturity and discretion required for work with high-value products and confidential design information.
Skills
Experience
Ideal candidates will have academic experience relevant to packaging or procurement and may bring previous internships (6–12 months) in packaging development, sourcing or supply chain roles; prior exposure to luxury goods or premium materials is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Design, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a closely related discipline.
