Maintenance Technician

Role & Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility systems, ensuring optimal equipment availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electromechanical faults; execute root-cause analysis and implement durable corrective actions.
- Maintain and calibrate precision tools, conveyors, CNC machines and ancillary equipment in accordance with manufacturer and internal standards.
- Work with production and engineering teams to coordinate shutdowns, support line conversions and improve machine uptime through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage maintenance documentation: update work orders, parts inventories and maintenance records in the CMMS and escalate critical spare parts needs.
- Ensure compliance with site safety rules and regulatory requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures and machine guarding standards.
Qualifications
- Vocational diploma or certificate in electromechanics, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Proven ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and to perform fault-finding on complex systems.
- Strong manual dexterity and aptitude for precision work; attention to detail consistent with fine jewellery/watchmaking production environments.
- Valid authorization to work in Switzerland.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial or precision-manufacturing maintenance, with preference for candidates who have supported high-precision assembly or watchmaking production lines.
Education
Vocational diploma in electromechanics, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, or equivalent technical qualification.
